I bet Jim gets golden highlights in his hair when he’s out in the sun for a long time and Spock never realized it because there’s (obviously) no sunlight on the ship where they spend most of their time, but then they go on shore leave together and jim stays out in the sun so much it happens and spock is like, entranced, and jim is like ?? Why are you looking at me so softly like that for and he looks so lovely spock has to smooch him IMMEDIATELY
